David Justus is a two-time cancer survivor. In 1985 he was diagnosed with testicular cancer,
where he was treated at Bethesda Naval Hospital. In 1986, he was diagnosed with Non
Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Although he was told he had only six months to live, he was the
beneficiary of a spiritual healing and has been cancer free ever since.
In 1986, he began volunteering for Lee’s Friends. While attending Brigham Young University in
1997, under the umbrella of the American Cancer Society, he founded HERO, a support group
for teens facing cancer and their families. Currently, David is the Program Services Director for
the Make-A-Wish Foundation in Columbus, Ohio.
David currently presents, "How To R.E.S.C.U.E. Your Loved One With Cancer: 5 Keys to
empower family and friends." He is also available for public speaking engagements and book
